Most people think childhood trauma entails something super traumatic like beatings, rape, molestation, and all the worst things you can think of. 🥺
What most don’t realize is a childhood traumatic experience can be the simplest of things that as adults we would NEVER even think of but as a child it’s a whole different perspective and interpretation they give! 👧🏻👦🏻

For instance, I had a client who created a story that her younger sister is loved more than she is because when they were young she was given a one HUGE gift, one of those electric cars, whereas her baby sister was gifted two Barbies. 🚗
Even though to us as adults it’s obvious that the gift of a car is more expensive and so much more value to it, which is why the parents gifted TWO Barbies to the little sister, my client didn’t see the value as a child…

All she saw was I got one gift and my sister got two, so they must love her more than me! 🤯

This is just one example that can shape the rest of a child’s life into adulthood hence considered a form of a childhood trauma bringing about experiences and patterns that match the limiting and subconscious beliefs created in that one incident. ❤️🩹
