What Do You Do For Your Mental Health? 💆🏻‍♀️

My go to is beach volleyball over all else! 🏝🏐🥰

Not only is it a great HIIT workout getting my heart pumping fast with fresh oxygen flowing through my body, the sound of the ocean calms my mind 🌊, being barefoot in the sand is grounding 👣, my volleyball community provides the connection for the extroverted soul I am, and over all else it’s the BEST emotional release for me! 🗣💥

Those that know me outside of volleyball get surprised when they see me on the court cuz I get LOUD! 😆

I scream & curse with a smile as I chase a ball down, then laugh at myself after… 🤣

I yell loud when I F up or when we win a really good rally, to the point that people hear me on the other side of the courts & even one of the volleyball coaches makes comments to me! 😆

I release whatever emotions are inside of me at the beach & always feel much better after! 😍

So what you see may be all smiles in those selfies & so you think to yourself: she’s living her DREAM life! 💭

As much as that’s true & I’m beyond grateful for this life I have created that provides me so much more than just a workout, it’s also what keeps me going with all that I’m dealing with mentally & emotionally. 🥺🤬😶‍🌫️

With Pashmak and his accidents happening more often, on top of all the Ayurveda detoxing & cooking, plus Airbnb management, housework, and now the decision of moving forward with Western fertility options playing the waiting & patience game, oh and a significant MRI this month that marks 5 years… 🥳

And I’m sure I’m missing stuff, but you get the point… 🙃

Volleyball has been my constant, what gets me through the days, and I barely make time for other self care let alone be proactive with my business or coordinate much else…

I have to prioritize & unfortunately people see my volleyball pictures & get the wrong idea…

Have expectations of me, some of which are unspoken or even uncalled for… 😶
⁣
And right now my priority is feeling JOY, releasing emotions, and being mentally healthy!

Volleyball is MIND BODY SPIRIT Health for me! 🧠💖💫

If I’m not coordinating time with you, it’s because I’m not coordinating anything, not even volleyball most of the time because I have set weekly games.
⁣
Sometimes we see pictures & make assumptions especially since most people don’t share the REAL & RAW, but I do! 🤷🏻‍♀️

And I haven’t had time to even post about those emotional days or post in general! 😳

⁣I am grateful for those that have their own version of beach volleyball that stabilizes their mental health because they can relate! ❤️‍🔥

Dancing is another one of mine, although it doesn’t happen as frequently as volleyball does. 💃🏻
