5 years is a BIG milestone when it comes to cancer as the risk of reoccurrence decreases significantly, although those thoughts don’t cross my mind AND I’m still going to celebrate because I love celebrating everything! 🥳
I have my MRI this Sunday the 28th, marking 5 years the day I had my “debulking” surgery. 🧠
August 23rd of 2017 I went in for an MRI to get a peace of mind, or so I thought…
Instead of 15mins that I was scheduled for, I ended up getting contrast and staying an extra hour or so! 😳
And instead of getting dressed after to go play volleyball as planned, I was escorted to the ER in a hospital robe without any details as to why… 😬
After an hour there, they showed me the MRI images and shortly after escorted me to the ICU to reduce the swelling in my brain and prep me for brain surgery 5 days later! 🧠👨⚕️
BEFORE my prognosis was escalated to stage 4 Glioblastoma (GBM), I was given a 3-5 year Life Sentence and come to find out years later post treatment because I refused to research or believe my surgeon’s words, the prognosis that’s based on statistics for GBM is 6-18mos and it’s considered most aggressive brain cancer! 😱
As I ALWAYS say, we are UNIQUE individuals with UNIQUE fingerprints & DNA 🧬, yet somehow we’re lumped into a statistic predicting the FUTURE (that NO ONE can predict btw) causing so many to lose hope, get in FEAR mode, and thus the vicious cycle of death continues. 😞
FEAR causes DIS-EASE within our bodies and when in FEAR mode, disease THRIVES unfortunately because the body goes in survival mode, stress hormones are released to put us in FIGHT or FLIGHT mode, and growth hormones are ceased. 😣
We can’t even predict the weather, yet a person’s life is given a life sentence rather than looking at the SOURCE of the illness, HEALing the ROOT cause, reprogramming subconscious LIMITING BELIEFS, having 💯% FAITH and zero 🙅🏻♀️ DOUBT, releasing all the FEAR, ANGER & RESENTMENT, and feeding the BODY with what’s necessary to heal from inside out! 😍

My purpose is to shift the HEALTH & HEALing PARADIGM we have taken on as a society and shift the focus from CANCER = DEATH to survivors & THRIVERS and learn how they got there and how more can follow that path and begin seeing CANCER as a chance to HEAL & GROW massively instead! 💪🏼❤️🩹🦸🏻♀️
Had I taken the doctor’s words and allowed his words to take over my MINDset, I would have easily lost all FAITH & HOPE, I would have put all my focus on the statistics and HORRIBLE stories in the world of Internet, and I would be DEAD right now! 😵
Instead, I’m more ALIVE, HEALTHIER, & GRATEFUL than ever in my life! 🥰
I REFUSED to believe that version of how my story ends and even told my surgeon, “NOPE! NOT ME! WATCH ME!!” 🙅🏻♀️
Now I am LIVING PROOF that ANYTHING is possible and there are MANY other Success Stories out there, which I am determined to continue sharing through the work I do because we need MORE Success Stories now than ever before while having compassion for those that have lost their lives as well!!! 🥰
