Do You Push Through OR Rest When Burnt Out? 🤔

I’m ALL about Living Life to the Fullest in the Face of ANY Circumstance…

And I will always allow myself to feel the feels, do some 𝗣𝗦𝗬𝗖𝗛-𝗞®, and continue about my day. 🥰

Although lately I’ve been pushing through instead of reflecting & clearing what doesn’t serve me with my plate being BEYOND full… 🤪

This was definitely an autopilot habit of my old unawakened self. 😳

So it was no surprise when last week I got stuck behind TWO, not ONE, traffic jams at times that should NOT have traffic…

Because I do everything to avoid traffic! 😝

Both of which were caused by what seemed to be a car accident with a flipped over car! 😱

Both within 3 days of each other…

So of course I’m all about what sign is the Universe giving me, especially the 2nd time…

And immediately it came to me:

SLOW THE F DOWN otherwise you will crash! 😎

And I don’t mean this literally, more so in terms of my body!

Plus I keep having 1-2 days a week where I’m super lethargic and have ZERO drive to do anything… 😑

Sooo unlike me! 😩

I started thinking about what I need and what would benefit me right now…

Right away I saw the word RETREAT followed by a vision of palm trees & the ocean. 🏝️

I love to travel and haven’t been able to for MONTHS! 😢

At one point I was traveling monthly for a reset, yet it’s been 6+ months since we vacationed.

And then Sunday came around with talks of a so called hurricane… 😒

Which thankfully nothing happened, but it did allow me to relax and just BE! 😌

This trickled over into Monday as I couldn’t fall asleep the night before, so the past couple of days I took a mental vacation, being a couch potato, binging on movies & series, and NOT feeling guilty about it as my old self would have! 💁🏻‍♀️

Emotional exhaustion is a state of feeling emotionally worn-out & drained as a result of accumulated stress from your personal or work life, or a combination of both, which is a sign of burnout.

AND it can cause lack of energy, poor sleep, & decreased motivation making it difficult to overcome. 🙄

Today I’m grateful I rested & slept 10hrs! 🥲

And still would LOVE to find a retreat nearby to attend, let me know if you know of any! 🥰

Experiencing some daily stress & anxiety is normal for some, however over time chronic stress can take a toll on the body, which is why I always say be mindful & aware of your BODY’s signs in form of whispers before your BODY starts screaming at you! ❤️‍🩹

What triggers burnout differs from each person & what may be stressful for one can be completely manageable for another.

And as your plate expands, what might have been too much to handle may now not be a biggie at all…

So consider be open to growing & expanding your comfort zone WHILE not pushing yourself to the point of burnout! ❤️‍🔥

And don’t forget we need to recharge our batteries too! 🪫❤️‍🩹🔋
